Once again, festival goers will be able to enjoy the picturesque surroundings of the museum, while they listen to stories told live, mouth to mouth, heart to heart, rediscover an ancient folk tradition and find out that nobody is too old to enjoy a good story. We’ll have music and lots of activities for families and children. A selected few people will get the chance to stay overnight in the starlit meadows of the Museum, discover the night wildlife, and dawn breaking over the ancient buildings.
This year we are working with tales from the community: our storytellers include some leading tradition bearers from all over the country and of course the voices of the local community and stories from the region: there will be a space for everybody’s voice to be heard.
Joining our patron Taffy Thomas OBE will be thrilling stories from Shonaleigh Cumbers, Amy Douglas, Karin Lundengård, John Row – and more!
Friday and Saturday evenings feature tales for grownups and young adults, while the Saturday and Sunday daytime programme has plenty for families to enjoy. Our early bird discount will last till the end of the year – so get your ticket early!
